AΦE is honored to join the Digital Innovation Network, supported by UCL, hosted this time by Sadler's Wells.
In this free networking event, we will participate in the panel discussion 'Physical-Digital: Integrating Dance and New Technologies', where we will share experiences of working at the intersection of dance and technology alongside Alexander Whitley Dance Company, CRXSS PLATFXRM, Birmingham Royal Ballet, and Pell Ensemble.
Join us for an introduction to the rapidly evolving landscape of digital technologies and the transformative possibilities they offer for the creation and presentation of dance.
This half-day event will provide a unique opportunity for dance artists to gain insights and share experiences about how emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Motion Capture, Virtual Production and Artificial Intelligence are being integrated into choreographic practice and dance productions.
Through a series of presentations, hands-on demos and open conversations, you'll learn more about what these technologies can offer. With contributions from a range of companies and creators working at the cutting-edge of technological innovation in dance, this event aims to raise awareness around the opportunities and challenges of engaging with new technologies and to question what tools are needed to better enable dance artists to integrate them into their practices.
